Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

Not at all!  In fact, lash extensions are kinder to your natural lashes because you don’t need to curl them or apply mascara, which can dry out or even break your eyelashes.  If the lash artist applies them to lashes that are too weak (which we’ll never do!) or if the wearer of the lashes rubs the lashes too aggressively, however, there is a possibility of breakage of the natural lash, but even if this happens, the natural lash will eventually grow back.

What is the eyelash extension appointment like?

It is painless, gentle and relaxing, some of our clients even drift off to sleep. You will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed while a single, synthetic lash is applied to each natural lash using medical-grade adhesive.

How long will my lash extensions last?

The look can be maintained indefinitely with regular lash fills. When properly applied, eyelash extensions will remain in place until the natural lash on which it rests falls out (which occurs every 60-90 days) or the adhesive bond weakens.

How do I care for my eyelash extensions to keep them healthy and intact?

You will not need to adjust your normal routine and lifestyle — if anything extensions will make your life easier!

For the first 24 hours, avoid using water, creams, sunscreen and oils around the eye area, as well as avoid swimming, sauna or spa treatments.

Never pull or rub your lashes. Use a non-oily, water-based eye makeup remover formulated for lash extensions.

Do not use an eyelash curler on your extensions, this will damage the extensions. (Besides, you don’t need one!)

Most importantly, keep your lash extensions clean so that dead skin cells, dirt, makeup and oil do not build up on your lash line.

Can I still wear mascara?

You most likely won’t feel like you need mascara at all, but if you still would like to, you can wear a non-waterproof mascara on your extensions.

How long is the first appointment typically?

The initial appointment for a full set of lash extensions typically takes about 2 hours. I usually include an extra 15 minutes for the first appointment on top of that just in case we need it to get your lashes as full and beautiful as possible.

How long does it take to get a fill done? And how long should I  go between fills?

A typical fill should be done every 2-3 weeks and usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes.

Why should someone consider getting lashes done at Radiant Day Spa over other Bend salons and spas?

We carefully sanitize all of our tools and use fresh linens and new disposable products for each client.

We only use the highest quality adhesive and change to a fresh bottle every few weeks to ensure the best results.

I’m a lash artist and an experienced artist and designer so I have a great aesthetic eye and focus on creating the perfect lash shape for a client’s eye and face shape.

I design the lashes to look great as the extensions grow out, using staggering lash sizes for a full and natural look.

And just to add icing to the cake, Radiant Day Spa’s lash prices are some of the BEST in town!

What are the top reasons people get lash extensions?

They will enhance the look of your natural lashes and open up your eyes to make them more noticeable — more dramatic than mascara, but less dramatic than strip lashes.

You’ll wake up looking stunning with zero effort. Brush your lashes and then head out the door.

Saves time: Lash extensions speed up your morning and night time routines.

Ditch the mascara for good: No more mascara clumping, getting mascara on your nose, eyelid or other random places it seems to get. No more drying out your natural eyelashes causing breakages. No more panda eyes, mascara running and smudging under your eyes.

Lash extensions are great for people with sensitive eyes: The fewer products around the eye area, the better. Also, they are great for people with contacts or glasses.

Lashes are great for the travelers: All your holiday pictures and selfies will look amazing and your eyelash extensions will last for the entire vacation — in and out of the water. And you’ll be able to travel lighter without having to lug around a bunch of eye makeup.

Special Occasions: You’ll look fabulous for special events, parties, weddings, balls, formals, award ceremonies, or conferences.

Look great at the gym: Sweat it up for hours at the gym and still have great looking lashes.

What’s your favorite pro tip for lash extensions?

Blow dry lashes from underneath on the cool setting for fuller, fluffier lashes.
